What is Crypto?

Cryptocurrency, often referred to as "crypto," is a type of digital or virtual currency that uses cryptography for security. Unlike traditional currencies issued by governments (such as the US dollar or euro), cryptocurrencies are decentralized and typically operate on a technology called blockchain.

The most well-known cryptocurrency is Bitcoin (BTC), but there are thousands of other cryptocurrencies with different features and use cases, such as Ethereum (ETH), Ripple (XRP), Litecoin (LTC), and many more.

Cryptocurrencies have gained significant attention and popularity for their potential to revolutionize finance, enable new forms of digital transactions, and provide financial inclusion to individuals who may not have access to traditional banking systems. However, they also come with regulatory, security, and investment risks, and their adoption and acceptance vary from country to country.
